How to make a Minecraft server 1.2.5 2012

Hello. Throughout this month, I've been confused on how to make a Minecrat server. I've now discovered an easy way to make a Minecraft 1.2.5 server in a few seconds! This tutorial will also include how to portforward correctly - and how to fix the 'Can't reach server' error (your friends can't connect error).

Okay, first thing's first, you'll need to decide if your server is going to be Bukkit or Vanilla. Bukkit is the advanced Minecraft server package, Vanilla is just a normal server provided by Minecraft.net. I'll show you how to make a vanilla server here, scroll down if you want to make a Bukkit server (bukkit servers are much better.)

How to make a Vanilla 1.2.5 server

1: Go to Minecraft.net
2: Click on the "Download" link

3: If you're using a Windows computer, download Minecraft_Server.exe under "Multiplayer Server"
